The ministry of the THURSDAY SHOWERS started out simply as a time of fellowship between Pastor Taiwo Odukoya, Senior Pastor of The Fountain of Life Church and the church musicians. The time of worship has rapidly grown into what has now become Thursday Showers. Every Thursday morning at 10 o’clock, over 2000 people from all walks of life come in to share in this wonderful experience of praise and worship. This interdenominational gathering is often attended by the presence of God with signs and wonders.

At TS, worship is at the core of our activities. The word being the balance around which all kingdom activities revolve, is given precisely and concisely at every meeting. Just like Paul and Silas experienced a supernatural breakthrough – the loosening of their bonds in prison, many continue to experience supernatural breakthroughs through the worship experience at TS, including unbelievers who come in and get saved.

Pastor Taiwo Odukoya is the senior pastor of The Fountain of Life Church, Lagos, Nigeria – a church with a membership in excess of 8,000. He holds a degree in petroleum engineering and worked for 12 years with the Nigeria National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC) until his voluntary retirement in 1994 to concentrate on the ministry God had committed to him.

He is a firm believer in the potential of his country Nigeria, and that is why he has personally established and actively invested in various initiatives to enhance the nation morally, educationally and politically. His approach centres on what he considers the root of the problem – a value reorientation of the various aspects of our national life, particularly the leadership, with the firm belief that this is one of the main ways we can truly make a positive change in the society.
